Fudgy Chocolate Brownies
These brownies are ultra‑rich, moist, and intensely chocolatey thanks to a secret boost of instant coffee. Perfect for a quick dessert or a treat to share, they bake in a standard 9‑by‑9 inch pan and deliver a dense, fudgy crumb.
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9 × 9‑inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
-
In a saucepan, melt the softened butter together with half of the chocolate chips over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
-
Whisk in the eggs, instant coffee granules, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
-
In a separate bowl, combine the remaining chocolate chips, granulated sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Stir until evenly mixed.
-
Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet chocolate‑egg mixture, mixing just until incorporated. Do not over‑mix.
-
Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for about 20‑25 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
-
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Tips
For extra fudginess, pull the brownies out of the oven at the lower end of the baking time; they will continue to set as they cool.

About this recipe
The brownies combine melted butter and semisweet chocolate chips for a glossy, buttery base, while cocoa powder deepens the chocolate flavor. A tablespoon of instant coffee enhances the cocoa without adding noticeable coffee taste, making each bite decadently chocolatey yet balanced with just enough sweetness.
Serve them warm or at room temperature, cut into squares, and pair with a glass of milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent finish.
